• SquareMind is one of 65 companies selected among over thousands applicants by the EIC Accelerator,  one the most competitive public funding schemes for deep tech startups in the world.
  • Funds will allow the company to accelerate the development of its breakthrough full body skin imaging x AI solution for dermatology.

SquareMind announces it has secured a €2,5M grant through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator program, based on the promise of the company’s innovative full body skin imaging technology and the company’s potential to become a global leader in the prevention of skin cancer.

EIC Accelerator, designed to scale up ground-breaking innovations, is one the most competitive public funding scheme for deep tech startups in the world (1-2% selection rate), with this year over 2000 companies applying and only 65 winners, chosen by a jury of innovators, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists after a highly competitive review process.

“The team at SquareMind is extremely proud of this support from the European institutions which will aid in our goal of becoming a global leader in dermatology”, said Ali Khachlouf, CEO and co-founder of SquareMind. “We are excited about recent breakthroughs we have made with our technology platform, and these additional resources will allow us to further accelerate the development of the company.”

EIC Accelerator’s support comes at a pivotal time for SquareMind, following major successful milestones in R&D, intellectual property, product design and team expansion.

The company will use the EIC funding to accelerate product development and rapidly bring its platform in the hands of physicians in Europe, the US and Australia.

SquareMind won national and international innovation awards, such as EIC Accelerator, I-Lab, Innov'Up and is backed by Calm/Storm ventures, Entrepreneur First, id4 ventures and several international business angels.
